The 2021 Chardonnay Portola Springs comes from east-facing vines planted in a ravine in 1982. A clean, bright nose of Meyer lemon, green apple skin and cashews leads to a medium-bodied palate and a lively, zesty finish with gripping acidity. The most electric and bracing of the Fogarty Chardonnays, lovers of citrus-focused wines should follow this for the next 7-8 years.
