San Felice’s Poggio Rosso is one of the estate’s top Chianti Classico Riservas, built around serious, ageworthy Sangiovese from the heart of Tuscany. The 1999 earned 92 points from Wine Spectator, which praised its “opulent” crushed berry and floral aromas, velvety tannins, and long finish. At 25+ years old, this should now be fully mature, showing dried cherry, tobacco, leather, savory herbs, and softened Tuscan earth.
