Wine Spectator

Firm and deeply concentrated, with a solid tannic punch to the blackberry, currant, coffee and plum flavors, this broad-appellation Cabernet reflects the strength of the vintage throughout the state. (11/1999)

N/A

Int'l Wine Cellar

Good full ruby-red. Penetrating aromas of black cherry and cassis; less evidence of menthol than the Buckeye wines. Currant and black plum flavors offer enticing sweetness. A fruit-driven wine with very good density and concentration. Here the palate-coating tannins seem richer and softer because they are well buffered. (05/2000)
