“The 1992 Dominus is similar in style to the 1990. It exhibits an open knit, opulent, rich, easy-going character with gorgeous levels of earthy, cassis fruit intertwined with scents of herbs, coffee, and chocolate/mocha ice cream. “The 1992 Dominus has a strict and (unsurprisingly) very Bordeaux-like nose with fine definition, tobacco, melted road tar and graphite emerging almost reluctantly with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a grainy structure, a bit 'gruff' perhaps, good depth with just a touch of dryness towards the finish. Perhaps just a little more rigidity than I would have preferred, but this continues to drink well. Tasted at the 'Judgement of Clapham Junction' dinner in London. (NM)” (10/2021)
