Made from 100% Syrah, the 2023 Syrah El Jabali Vineyard is deep purple-hued and has a classic Syrah nose of gamey black fruits, pepper, tapenade, and violets. It's rich and medium to full-bodied, with remarkable purity, a seamless and layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Fermented with 30% whole clusters and aged 14 months in 70% new French oak, including puncheons, this is a sensational effort from this talented winemaker. Drink 2025-2035.

Otherworldly aromas are layered, pure and concentrated with cracked peppercorns and sandalwood threading between blackberries and plums. This is polished, perfumed and structured for the long haul, but the boysenberries, melted figs, dried violets and mocha, as well as grilled meat and scorched earth, are irresistible now. Incredibly long tannins. Drink or hold.

The 2023 Syrah El Jabali pours an inky, almost iridescent purple hue. It explodes onto the palate with a voluptuous saturation of sepia-toned blackberry fruit, menthol, incense and dark chocolate. This is a gorgeous expression of Syrah from the Sta. Rita Hills, accented by an unmissable salinity that keeps things fresh and vibrant throughout the powerful finish. Awesome.
