Bid on this bottle of 2017 Domaine François Bertheau Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Charmes" ((90-92RP), 91BH). Wine Advocate: "The lovely 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes wafts from the glass with a fragrant bouquet of rose petals, cherries and raspberries that is quintessential Chambolle. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and broader shouldered than the Chambolle 1er Cru bottling, with more depth and dimension and a long, stony finish. (WK)" (01/2019) Wine Advocate: "The lovely 2017 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes wafts from the glass with a fragrant bouquet of rose petals, cherries and raspberries that is quintessential Chambolle. William Kelley for Wine Advocate on the producer: "...it's worth reiterating the rudiments of the domaine's modus operandi: destemmed grapes, a cuvaison of between two and three weeks in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by élevage with minimal racking in a cellar where new oak seldom exceeds 10%, with old foudres employed for the Chambolle-Musigny Villages. Given the evident attention to detail in the cuverie and cellar, dare I suggest that with greater rigor in the vineyards and more restricted yields, Bertheau might number among the Côte de Nuit's élite?" “Here the nose is really quite elegant with its assortment of red cherry, raspberry, lavender, violet and soft spice wisps. There is slightly better mid-palate volume to the equally caressing medium weight flavors that offer a bit more overall depth and persistence on the dusty and well-balanced if more evidently structured finish that exudes a hint of bitter cherry pit character. *Outstanding*” (01/2020)

“Outstanding ripeness of fruit with excellent spice integration on the nose and palate. Much more open and fragrant than their other Chambolles, with excellent length and power. A great example of the type. 18/20 points (RH)” (01/2019)
