“The 2014 Vosne Romanée 1Er Cru les Malconsorts is 100% whole cluster, though you cannot tell that on the nose. It has wonderful definition that is very perfumed and floral, real pinoté here that just expands with each swirl. The palate is supple, saline on the entry with super-fine tannin, very pure and detailed with an exquisite, poised, sophisticated finish that is real Malconsorts. This is just sublime. “Deep crimson. Much more relaxed than the Côte de Beaune wines although there is some of the Vosne freshness. Grainy tannins on the end. Good terroir expression even if not as vivid as some. Some vibration on the end though. (JR) 17/20” (01/2016)
