Bid on this bottle of 2017 Domaine Jean-Marc Bouley Pommard 1er Cru "Les Fremiers" (94RP, (90-93BH), (91-93VN)). Wine Advocate: "The 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers goes from strength to strength, soaring from the glass with aromas of rose petals, orange rind, sweet berry fruit and plums, deftly framed by a subtle touch of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it's fleshy and complete, with melting tannins, succulent acids and a long, peony-inflected finish. Readers with the 2017 in their cellars should be very happy indeed. (WK)" (08/2021)

Burghound

This too is sufficiently reduced to render an evaluation of the nose impossible. Otherwise there is both good volume and detail to the less prominently mineral-driven medium weight flavors that possess a raspy mouth feel, all wrapped in a delicious, balanced and nicely complex finale. This is definitely lovely stuff and already quite harmonious though the grippy tannins make it clear that patience will be required. (04/2019)

Vinous

The 2017 Pommard Les Fremiers 1er Cru contains 50% whole bunches this year and matures in around 30% new oak. It tends to suffer more millerandage than other vineyards according to Thomas Bouley. It has a precise bouquet with mineral-rich blackberry and a scent of sea cave. The palate is very well balanced, elegant and feminine with tart red cherries, a touch of shucked oyster shell with a precise and tender finish. One of Bouley’s most sophisticated offerings.
