Bid on this bottle of 2007 Dauvissat-Camus Chablis 1er Cru "La Forest" (92-95ST, 91-94BH). Stephen Tanzer writes: "Lemon peel, stone fruits, white flowers and menthol — pure silk on entry, then bracing and intense with explosive perfume and very firm structure. Premier cru Chablis doesn't get much better than this." Burghound adds: "Mineral reduction, citrus, oyster shell and algae with a vibrant, explosive finish that goes on and on — essentially perfect balance." (10/2008)

92-95 points Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar: "Pale, bright yellow. Knockout nose combines lemon peel, stone fruits, white flowers, fresh herbs, licorice and menthol. Pure silk on entry, then bracing and intense in the middle palate, with terrific verve and cut to its citrus and floral flavors. This is almost painful in its sappiness. Finishes with explosive perfume and very firm structure for aging. Premier cru Chablis doesn't get much better than this." (ul/Aug 2008) 91-94 points Allen Meadows' Burghound: "A cool, reserved and sophisticated nose based on the mineral reduction that is so prevalent in classically styled Chablis along with citrus, oyster shell and algae notes, all of which continue onto the almost painfully intense flavors supported by a vibrant, firm and explosive finish that goes on and on. I really like the beautiful underlying tension that gives the finish a real sense of energy and the balance here is essentially perfect. One of the best 1ers of the vintage and highly recommended."
