The 2023 Pinot Noir Kiser Vineyard Suitcase Block emerges from a block on the lower section of the vineyard. Aromatic and effusive but also tightly wound, the 2023 is deeply intriguing. Hints of lavender, rose petal and red/purplish fruit all grace this super-expressive Pinot. Like all the Kiser Pinots, the Suitcase Block is deeply influenced by painfully low yields that leave the wine with imposing tannins. Production was just three barrels for an acre of vineyard, less than half of what might be considered typical. 94+ (AG)
