Francois Battault has taken over the reins here, and the wines are getting better and better. For years, much of the production of this domaine went to negociants; thankfully, that is changing! Their wines are rich and complex, and one thing I very much like is the restrained use of oak. Even top cuvees such as this are less than 20% new barrels.
