X. 2007 Gruner Veltliner Smaragd Kellerberg smells of over-ripe pear, musk melon, lilac, mango, and grapefruit, along with pungent black pepper; coats the palate with rich fruit backed by a sense of sweetness from glycerin and sheer extract; and clings with pungent resin, rich coffee, musk, and tropical fruit, tinged with site typical black pepper. Seamlessly rich and polished, this should hold well for at least a decade. (DS)
