Impressive depth, concentration, freshness and clarity. Fine toast lends restraint and complexity to the lemon zest, bergamot, mineral and stone fruit aromas. Broad and medium- to full-bodied on the palate, with an ample and cohesive finish. Long, naturally concentrated and not showy. Drinkable now, but much better from 2028. (ZS)

The 2024 Grand Vin Blanc Sec Pur Sémillon is seriously impressive. Lemon confit, apricot, marzipan, white flowers, spice, white pepper and light tropical overtones stain the palate. The 2024 is quite closed today. It should be fabulous in another few years' time. For the first time, about 25% of the wine was aged in Wineglobe. (AG)

Suduiraut has some of the greatest old-vine Sémillon plantings in all of the world, and in the past few years they've dedicated a special "Pur Sémillon" bottling to celebrate their finest parcels. Only 250 cases were made in 2024, a great white wine vintage where this was one of the clear standouts.
