This is fabulous – 100% Olmo clone that is the same as the Eisele clone. Opaque purple, this wine was aged 20 months in a relatively small percentage of new oak. Robert Parker writes for Wine Advocate: "This is the home project of Thomas Rivers Brown and Genevieve Marie Welsh, who started this boutique operation in 2002. In the last few years, they’ve expanded to include Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. I tasted four Pinot Noirs from Rivers-Marie, all of them different and singular. I also had a look at two vintages of the four Cabernet Sauvignons that are made by Rivers-Marie. The 2013s are in bottle and are absolutely spectacular wines. The 2014s look strong, with up-front fruit, but exceptional density, purity and richness." (10/2015)
