NV Rivers Antoine Estate "Rivers" Royal Grenadian Rum (700ml)

Bid on this bottle of Rivers Antoine Estate "Rivers" Royal Grenadian Rum (700ml). The Rivers Antoine Estate is one of the oldest and most traditional rum estates in the world. The cane is harvest from 15 hectares of organically farmed fields grown on the shores of the Caribbean ocean. Hand cut and crushed by a watermill built in 1840, no more than 3000 liters of fresh cane juice are processed each day. Without the aid of modern technology, or electricity for that matter, the juice is concentrated in metal pans over bagasse-fueled fires. The lightly concentrated sugar syrup is then spontaneously fermented in open air concrete vats for up to 10 days before being double distilled on two spectacular double-twisted John Dore pots to a proof of about 186. Cut for local consumption to 75% and 69% for export, it's extremely rare to find this special bottle outside of its island home. Grenadians are so proud of the Island's famous spirit they'll insist you: "Don't say rum, say Rivers!"
