“Opaque ruby. A highly perfumed, complex bouquet evokes red and dark berry liqueur, potpourri, smoky bacon and Moroccan spices. Stains the palate with sweet blackberry, cherry preserve, spicecake and violet pastille flavors that are sharpened by a smoky mineral note and a jolt of cracked pepper. “Dark red plum colour; Pinot in the glass – ça Pinote – what a nose, is ripe, savoury, tender, most inviting, offers airs of red berry garden fruits, a cloak of fine violet hand in hand. The palate is spiced, peppered, bears incense, produces a late cool tone, spark on the close from the stems, good probing length – it washes up its fine juice well on the aftertaste. This bears much charm, is a real beauty, singing away, has an enrobed, suave texture. There’s pleasure from the old vines, the raspberry style fruit collects well on the close. *4.5 Stars*” (07/2021)
