From the small Palette appellation just outside Aix-en-Provence, Château Simone Rouge comes from the Rougier family's old-vine estate on the limestone slopes below Mont Sainte-Victoire. The wine is traditionally built around Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cinsault, with smaller portions of Syrah and historic local varieties, then aged in the domaine's cellars before release.
