The return of Hell Diver in 2025 marks another landmark release from Found North, a brand that continues to redefine what North American whisky can achieve. This extraordinary blend brings together 17, 20, and 24-year-old corn whiskies with a stunning 22-year-old rye, forming a complex, mature spirit that leans heavily on richness and depth. Anchored by the lush viscosity of 20-year corn, the whisky undergoes a transformative seven-month secondary maturation in Pedro Ximénez, Cognac, and new American oak casks. The result is an intricate interplay of sweetness, spice, and structure that balances density with elegance. The nose is a thunderhead of red velvet cake, brandied cherry, hazelnut, and brown sugar, lifted by bursts of sweetened chai and raspberry honey. On the palate, it dives in with toasted caramel, ruby chocolate, mocha, and Brazil nuts dusted in canela. A swirl of strawberry conserva, toffee, and nutmeg builds toward a finish wrapped in white tea, French wafer, and a final flash of red comice pear. The whisky settles into a long, layered coda of maple, walnut, and cocoa powder. Composed of 86% corn, 13% rye, and 1% malted barley, Hell Diver is bottled at cask strength (56.2% ABV), delivering both intensity and finesse.
