Bid History: 1 Bid2022 Jasud Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Bid on this bottle of 2022 Jasud Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon ((97-99TWI), (93-95VN)). The Wine Independent: "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2022 Jasud (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) slowly awakens from the glass with wafts of juicy blackberries, red currant preserves, espresso, and graphite, leading to suggestions of cast iron pan, jasmine tea, star anise, and cumin seed. The medium-bodied is super tight-knit with red, black, and blue fruit layers supported by a texture of powdery soil and bright acidity, finishing on a lingering fragrant earth note. This was tasted as a barrel sample, due to be bottled next year. (LPB)" (08/2023)

“The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon represents another step forward here, especially considering the challenges of the year. Rich and beautifully layered, the 2022 offers tons of nuance allied with volume, resonance and freshness. Intense red-purplish fruit, blood orange, cedar and pipe tobacco all build in the glass. This is one of the most surprising wines in the range. I find it exotic and wild but also impeccably balanced. Harvest took place on August 24 and 25, well before the brutal Labor Day heat spike. “Bright fruit. A bit of sweet leather again, like the 2021. Polished tannins, and extremely juicy and obviously embryonic. There's something vaguely medicinal about this. And a bit of blackberry again. Great smooth tannins is another common characteristic of wines from this 15-acre plot high above Napa Valley. 17.5++/20 points (JR)” (04/2023)
