Bid on this bottle of Diamond Estate (Port Mourant) 13 Year Old "Golden Devil" Single Wooden Pot Still Single Barrel Cask Strength Guyana Rum. The famed, historic estate in the center of Georgetown is all that is left of the once vast Demerara rum industry. Home to ALL of the country's functioning stills, the distillery remains one of the most important rum producers in the world. Of all the excellent rum coming out of the facility's nine stills, the Port Mourant double potstills are arguably the most important. These two wooden pots are fashioned from local greenheart wood and were saved from the famous Port Mourant Estate about 80 miles south of the capitol. The stills were moved from estate to estate before landing at DDL in 1999/2000. They're renowned for producing a unique aromatic heavy-style rum. It's full of spice, herbs, tropical fruit, and pungent earthiness. A truly special run with plenty to offer lovers of heavy-style rum.
