Bid on this bottle of 2013 Darioush "Signature" Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (94IWR, 93CG, 93WE, 91RP). Int'l Wine Review: "The 2013 Darioush Cabernet is another gorgeous new release wine from this estate. This wine is an impressive blend of 75% Cabernet, 11% Merlot, 2% Cab Franc, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. This wonderful Cabernet opens with aromas of creme de cassis, anise, black olive, rose petals and Turkish coffee. There are generous flavors of anise, creme de cassis, coffee grounds and graphite. Tannic and massive, this wine that needs at least one more year before consumption. This is hedonistic and highly satisfying Napa Cabernet. (OB)" (05/2016)

Darioush Winery is a California wine producer located off the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley, and was established in 1997 by Darioush Khaledi. It is known as a "destination winery" in Napa for its dramatic Persian architecture, and produces a range of wines that repeatedly receive high scores in the press. Darioush Khaledi was born and raised in Iran, where his father made wine as a hobby. He immigrated to the United States in the 1970s and founded a successful grocery store chain called KV Mart. On his 20th wedding anniversary, he visited Napa Valley with his wife, where they tried California wines for the first time, and decided to buy land and start a winery. The rich style of Darioush's wines appeals to many, including the likes of the American wine critic, Robert Parker, who has given the wines scores in the high 90s.

Connoisseurs Guide
“Darioush Cabernets are among the richest, deepest, and tastiest that are produced in these parts, and that might be good enough on its own to make them likeable, but the reason why they have been so very popular is that they also have carried plenty of juicy, well-focused varietal fruit. And, this wine is not only clearly made in the winery style, but it is among their most impressive yet. Its generous aromas of black cherry, cola and graphite are lifted by lashings of creamy oak, and its full-bodied sense on the palate is supple to start with a bit of a fleshy feel and is nicely supported by evident yet polished tannins that will hold everything in good stead for years to come. *Two Stars*” (08/2013)

Wine Enthusiast
“A showcase of the vintage and varietal, this is a luxuriously thick and decadent wine, integrated in tannin and oak, with a length on the palate. Chocolate truffle, pencil lead and tobacco all have parts to play, meeting succulent raspberry and blueberry. (VB)” (12/2016)

Wine Advocate
“The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon has plenty of crème de cassis, a broad, deep, full-bodied mouthfeel, moderate tannin, and a long finish. (RP)” (10/2016)
