“Deep ruby-red. Pungent dark berries and maraschino cherry on the vibrant nose. Very concentrated and sweet but also sharply delineated and firmly structured. Quite densely packed and very long, with the sheer material to buffer the ripe tannins. The vines here average 40 years of age, compared to just 20 for the Haut-Doix. (ST) 91+” (03/2001)
