B. Kosuge Wines was founded in 2004 by winemaker Byron Kosuge, following fifteen years crafting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at Saintsbury in Carneros. After leaving in 2001, Kosuge consulted for small projects including Miura Vineyards and Kingston Family Vineyards in Chile, refining a style rooted in purity and restraint. His own label focuses on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gamay from select sites in the Sonoma Coast and Carneros AVAs, emphasizing elegant, small-lot winemaking that highlights California’s coastal terroir. Production remains hands-on, with Kosuge personally involved in vineyard work, grape sorting, and cellar operations to maintain precision and transparency from vine to bottle.
