“Good medium ruby. Black cherry, black raspberry, plum and a whiff of mocha on the nose. Wonderfully plush and sweet, conveying an almost liqueur-like ripeness to its flavors of red and darker fruits, dried flowers and tobacco, but with harmonious acidity ensuring excellent definition. Really saturates the palate and lingers on the minerally back end, but these tannins appear to need more time to resolve than those of the Cabernet Sauvignon. Incidentally, this wine showed a cooler Cabernet Franc quality in the early going, even a minty nuance, but today it impresses most for its velvety mid-palate texture and complexity. (ST) 93+” (07/2019)

Wine Spectator
“Mixing subtle loamy earth notes with dried berry, sage and cedar flavors, this red is complex if on a restrained scale, with flavors and depth that build. Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2020. 452 cases made.” (10/2012)
