“Lorenzo Accomasso's 2010 Barolo is a beautiful wine that is worth tracking down, although chances are you won't find it. I can't begin to describe what I went through to get this bottle to taste for review (including a very folkloric sit-down with Mr. Accomasso in his disheveled front office, after which, by the way, I have no idea what I really tasted). I ask for your understanding in advance if reviews are not readily available for future new releases. I'm not sure I have the stamina to jump though all those hoops each and every year. This review is based on a bottle I purchased from the enoteca in La Morra. The wine opens to a deep ruby color with soft, yielding tones of cherry, dried blackberry and plum.
