“One of the new stars in the Turley portfolio is their 1998 Zinfandel Pringle Family Vineyard (16.1% alcohol). This is among the most firmly-structured and backward of the Turley Zinfandels. It offers a dense ruby/purple color as well as earthy, foresty, black raspberry, and black cherry liqueur aromas. The wine is deep and full-bodied, with some tannin, excellent purity and overall symmetry. (RP)” (06/2000)

Hints of cedar, tobacco and dried flowers add character, but the Turley Estate is mostly a wine of volume and textural intensity. Wild cherry, kirsch and new leather develop in the glass later.
