Igneous Wines was founded in 2002 by longtime Napa residents Don and Ann Huckfeldt, who partnered with legendary vineyard consultant David Abreu to secure Cabernet Sauvignon from the famed Thorevilos Vineyard in St. Helena. The Huckfeldts later planted their own estate vineyard at Huckfeldt Ranch, also managed by Abreu, ensuring meticulous farming and site expression. Winemaking is led by Kirk Venge, a Napa native recognized among the top young talents in the industry. Production focuses on small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon crafted with precision and balance, reflecting both Abreu’s vineyard mastery and Venge’s modern yet restrained style.
