Bid on this bottle of 2007 Domaine Joseph (Veronique) Drouhin Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru "Petits Monts" (90VN). Vinous: "Good medium red. Red and black fruits lifted by a note of violet on the nose; I might have picked this as coming from Chambolle except for its smoky minerality. Then sweet but tight on the palate, with dark flavors of cassis, black raspberry and pepper complicated by Richebourg-like soil tones of smoke and minerals. This is rather backward and in need of at least three or four years of cellaring. Incidentally, the pH here is a very moderate 3.49. (ST) 90+" (03/2009)

“A spicy, pure and elegant nose is the essence of extract of red pinot fruit with a background hint of cassis that is followed by rich, full, cool and mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are tangy and persistent but at present seem to lack just a hair of maturity on the supporting tannins.” (04/2009)
