Hawk and Horse is a small, biodynamically farmed estate that sits at 2,220 feet elevation in Lake County's Red Hills AVA. The property is lovingly farmed by the Hawkins family, who have become very well-known and respected in the organic/biodynamic farming community. Winemaker Dr. Richard Peterson was the original winemaker at Screaming Eagle before passing the torch to his daughter, Heidi Barrett. Peterson has had a long and illustrious career making wine in Napa including being mentored by the great André Tchelistcheff at Beaulieu Vineyards, who chose Peterson to succeed him as Head Winemaker when he retired. *Biodynamic*
