Jancis Robinson

Everyone else declared the 1966! Dark ruby and glowing and regarded by the Symington’s as very typical of Cockburn’s. Very jewelly and transparent – bet with Johnny Graham (of Churchill’s) that Paul Symington would eat his hat if it matched Dow’s 66 – very delicate. Not great power but real sinew and absolutely classic for Cockburn’s. Very fine indeed. 18/20 points. (JR) (03/2015)
