The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino Campo del Drago is more immediate and fleshed out compared to the same wine from the previous vintage. Warm summer temperatures have contributed to the wine's openness and its generosity. It offers a succession of red cherry, sweet spice, leather, cola and balsam herb aromas. It also shows an evident dose of oak spice and toast that still needs time to integrate. Campo del Drago requires an additional two to four years of bottle aging. (ML)
