2014 Domaine Henri Boillot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrieres"

Bid on this 3-bottle lot of 2014 Domaine Henri Boillot Meursault 1er Cru "Les Perrieres" (94BH, (91-94VN)). Vinous: "(from the upper section of the cru): Bright, pale yellow. Fresh pineapple and crushed rock dominate the nose. Fat and rich on entry, with the exotic pineapple note repeating, then tactile and dusty on the back half, with the strong underlying stony quality giving the wine a slightly rigid character. This very young, rather broad-shouldered Perrières finishes with strong saline minerality. But I'm not sure it's better than the Genevrières. (ST)" (05/2015)

Burghound

An overtly spicy and pure nose is comprised by cool notes of white peach, pear, acacia blossom and mineral reduction. The middle weight flavors are not quite as concentrated or powerful as those of the Poruzots but they are notably more refined with the minerality suggested by the nose confirmed on the palate and in particular on the borderline painfully intense and persistent finish that is saline almost to the point of being salty. This is textbook Perrières that should age effortlessly for years to come. Highly recommended. (06/2016)
