The result is bottled in the Caribbean at a full 57% ABV, with no added sugar, no neutral or multi-column filler, and no shortcut sweetness. Its darker color comes from caramel made by heating sugar at Foursquare, a traditional practice that adds color without sweetening the rum. The nose is explosive and layered, moving from rich fig, fresh caramel, brown butter, and vanilla into pineapple, orange peel, coconut, overripe banana, and a subtle grassy edge. The palate is broad, punchy, and wonderfully drinkable for the proof, with brown sugar, caramelized pineapple, firm layered tannin, and a bright citrus-driven finish.
