Provenance: Purchased upon release and stored in a temperature and humidity-controlled wine storage facility since acquisition.
Condition: Excellent
Bedrock is an itsy-bitsy winery making wine in a converted chicken coop. Fruit from only the most excellent vineyard sites is hand pitch-forked into the destemmer, fermented in open top redwood and stainless vats using only native yeasts, and are manually basket pressed by winemaker Morgan Twain-Peterson into the sexiest oak from the coldest French forests. This is hip stuff, but more importantly, it is damn tasty, too! Indicative blend: Predominantly Zinfandel with Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir de la Calmette, Petite Sirah, and Lenoir.

“Another big, powerful wine, the 2013 Pagani Heritage Wine hits the palate with intense dark red fruit allied to a firm core of tannins. One of the most backward wines in this range, the 2013 is going to need at least a few years to come together. The flavors are dark, powerful and voluptuous, with tons of intensity, but perhaps just a touch of the nuance found in some of the other Sonoma Valley wines in this range. (AG)” (01/2015)
