Le Carillon de Rouget is the second wine of Château Rouget, a Right Bank estate in Pomerol owned by the Labruyère family. It is primarily made from Merlot with a blend of Cabernet Franc, sourced from younger vines planted on more aerial sites than the Grand Vin. The wine is sustainably farmed, harvested by hand, vinified parcel by parcel (usually in stainless steel), and aged in second-fill French oak barrels for around 14-18 months.
