Reviewed August 2022The 2019 Pinot Noir Kanzler Vineyard is from a cool site in the southern end of the appellation, south of Sebastopol. It is lifted with poppy red fruits, wild raspberry, fresh rosehip, and sweet spice. The palate is charming and medium bodied, with its florality continuing through the palate, with fine tannins. Drink over the next 10-15 years. (AF)

The medium-bodied palate is atypical of the lush, fruity style associated with the Russian River Valley—the Kanzler is silky, refreshing and light on its feet with intriguing botanical streaks and a long finish that unfurls to layered, earthy nuances.
