Note: from vines planted in 1965.A more elegant nose derives almost entirely from the red side of the fruit spectrum. The delicious and attractively vibrant middle weight flavors are not especially dense though they do offer a nicely refined texture that contrasts somewhat with the dusty and slightly attenuated finish. It's hard to say if this will better harmonize with time in bottle but if you're going to buy it, plan on cellaring it.
