A more elegant nose features cooler notes of red cherry, currant, spice and a violet nuance. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the slightly finer, though less concentrated, barely middle weight flavors that deliver solid length if only average depth. This is on the lighter side and while pretty, it doesn't offer the same overall quality.
