Domaine Raymond Usseglio traces its origins to Francis Usseglio, who arrived from Italy in 1931 and established his own Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate in 1948. His son Raymond created a separate domaine in 1964, bottling estate wines from the start. Since 1999, the estate has been led by Stéphane Usseglio, who shifted the vineyards to organic and biodynamic farming, achieving full organic certification in 2015. The domaine farms 18 hectares in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, including old-vine parcels in La Crau and near the papal castle, with many vines 60–100+ years old. Reds ferment in concrete and stainless steel, then age in cement, foudres, used barrels, and—uniquely for select cuvées like Les Apôtres—clay amphora.
