“Bottled under Russell’s RPF Wines label, the 2010 the signmaker is a new wine that’s a co-fermented blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Syrah. Aged mostly in neutral oak (25% new), it has a perfumed, textbook Cabernet bouquet of crème de cassis, mint, cigar, and violets that flows to a full-bodied, seamless palate that pumps out layers of fruit while staying overall fresh and elegant. Balanced, fresh, and with notable purity of fruit, this beautifully put together blend is superb now, yet I see no reason is won’t age gracefully...” (12/2018)
