“Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from an older block in this larger vineyard, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Fairchild G-III offers a distinct iodine character as well as notes of sappy herbs, damp earth, tobacco, and beautiful black fruits. Rich, full-bodied, concentrated, and textured, it's a classic, ageworthy, almost old school-styled wine from this team. Aged 22 months in new French oak, give bottles 3-4 years and it should evolve for two decades or more.” (01/2020)

“The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon G-III aged for 22 months in new French oak and has a very deep purple-black color. It comes strutting out of the glass with determined notions of crushed black currants, blackberry coulis and wild blueberries plus suggestions of menthol, chocolate box, Ceylon tea and cardamom plus a waft of dusty soil.
