2019 Riise "Doyen" Paso Robles Rhone Blend
Bid on this bottle of 2019 Riise "Doyen" Paso Robles Rhone Blend (95JD). Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2019 Grenache Based Blend checks in as a blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 15% Mourvèdre coming from the Paderewski, Catapult, Shadow Canyon, and Fulldraw vineyards, aged 18 months in 50% new oak. It reveals a deep ruby/purple color to go with a great nose of ripe red and blue fruits, ground pepper, leafy herbs, and spice. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a layered, seamless mouthfeel, impressive tannins, and a great finish. It's another beautiful 2019 from Paso Robles." (09/2022)

More than 300 wineries grow 40+ varieties in this land that sits between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The 11 distinct viticultural areas of the Paso Robles Wine Region highlight the unique terroirs and microclimates that contribute to the diversity of wines produced here. Each area, such as Willow Creek, Adelaida, and Templeton Gap, offers specific soil types and climate conditions. From Jeb Dunnuck: A new project by Juan Mercado, formerly of Realm Cellars in Napa, Riise Wine pulls from some top sites on the west side of Paso Robles, and the wines are made by the talented Anthony Yount. These are classic, impeccably made Paso Robles beauties and come highly recommended by yours truly.
