Pale to medium ruby in color, the 2013 Estate Pinot Noir Femme Fatale leads with some fragrant stemmy notes, followed by a core of warm cranberries, kirsch and underbrush plus a waft of faded roses. The elegant, fresh, medium-bodied palate gives wonderful intensity, with the apparent stems inclusion (I’ve no technical notes on this wine) marrying beautifully with the red berry preserves at this stage, framed by chewy tannins and finishing with an herbal lift.
