Provenance: Purchased from reputable sources and stored in a professional wine storage facility of a Los Angeles based collector and repeat consignor with K&L Auctions.
Condition: Excellent
Though the bottle doesn't bear its name, this wine is from perhaps the most famous and highly regarded vineyard in Rutherford. Originally planted to vines in 1895, this is one of the most historic vineyards in Napa Valley. In 1928 the vineyard was purchased by Beaulieu Vineyards founder Georges de Latour. In the 1960s and 1970s this famed Rutherford dust soil produced some of the most iconic bottles of Cabernet in history and helped put Napa Valley on the world stage. Today purchasers of this fruit have to pay an additional premium and agree to a minimum retail price to use the vineyard name... but we're more interested in what's in the bottle rather than what's printed on the label, and this beauty is packed full of classic Rutherford goodness!

“The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford, which includes a tiny amount of Petit Verdot, offers a deep purple color as well as a floral, herbal, cedary bouquet. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, and elegant on the palate, with nicely integrated oak, it's another solid, balanced wine from this lineup that will appeal to the Old World Cabernet lovers out there.
