Winemaker Mike Smith started his career under the direction of Napa superstar Thomas Brown in 2001. After the third harvest of traveling from Portland to learn by working "free of charge," Mike accepted a full-time job from Thomas and moved to St. Helena. Today, Mike works alongside Thomas on several labels including Rivers-Marie and Maybach. His Becklyn Cellars releases are custom-crushed alongside these big names, benefitting from Mike's style and experience.
