I tasted this excellent wine from barrel just before bottling. The 2015 Biserno will be released in September, and some 25,000 bottles were made. This edition offers a profoundly exuberant drinking experience that hits the senses with explosive intensity. The quality of the primary fruit is impeccable with Morello cherry, blackberry and dark prune. Savory spice and tobacco frames that fruit with precision and focus. This full-bodied red offers tightly knit texture and firm tannins. The 2015 vintage represents the culmination of a stylistic evolution and years of winemaking experience on behalf of the entire team at Tenuta di Biserno. There is no doubt in my mind that this is best edition of Biserno produced thus far. (ML)
