Lots of depth and intensity, with aromas of iron, strawberries, tobacco, dried flowers and sweet spices. It's medium-bodied, deep and sophisticated. Wet earth and bark on the palate, with lovely peaches at the end. Subtle and refined. I love it. 56% pinot noir and 44% chardonnay. Drink or hold.

Vinous

Review Date: 07/2026
The 2010 Dom Pérignon Rosé is airy, tense and wonderfully crystalline, as it has always been. Chalk, white pepper, slate and finely chiseled fruit are the signatures. The 2010 is a svelte, nervy Dom Pérignon Rosé, a Champagne that impresses more with persistence and focus than with obvious size or weight. (AG)

A well-cut rosé Champagne, with a crisp, lacy feel to the mousse, which carries flavors of dried raspberry, blood orange peel and toasted raisin bread, plus hints of saffron, crystallized honey and fleur de sel. Long and mouthwatering, with a push of chalky minerality on the finish. Drink now through 2040. (AN)

Born from rigorous selection in a botrytis-pressured year, the 2010 Dom Pérignon Rosé is composed of 44% Chardonnay—sourced predominantly from Chouilly, Cramant and Avize—and 56% Pinot Noir, with the latter largely drawn from Verzenay, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Hautvillers. Eleven percent of the Pinot Noir was vinified as red wine, lending the wine its color, aromatic lift and textural nuance. Disgorged in March 2024 with a dosage of five grams per liter, it unfurls from the glass with aromas of bitter orange, wild raspberry and fresh strawberry, mingled with nuances of rooibos, Timut pepper and charred, buttered toast. On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied, muscular and vinous, built around a rich yet vibrant core of fruit, complemented by structuring phenolics that impart its bitter qualities. Ample and textural, this is a commendable effort in a challenging Champagne vintage. (KK)
