Good deep red. Perfumed aromas of red berries, herbs, spicy oak and truffle. Sweet, spicy and densely packed, showing superb ripeness for a 2006 from the Cote de Beaune. Combines the power of Teurons with the finesse of Vignes Franches. Still a trace of rusticity here but in a quintessential Beaune way. Aromatic, sweet and nicely delineated. The very sweet, palate-saturating finish features a strong spice character and excellent thrust. Just five barrels made. 90+ (ST)
