This is tightly focused, displaying a pure, snappy core of red currant, red licorice and sagebrush, backed by a racy finish. Bright acidity is well-integrated throughout, and this should flesh out nicely with modest cellaring. (JM)

Good medium red. High-pitched aromas of raspberry liqueur, strawberry and spices, plus a hint of chocolate. Silky-sweet, ripe and concentrated, with flavors similar to the aromas. Showed a note of mocha and deeper fruit with aeration. Finishes long, with sweet tannins. (ST)
