Domaine des Miroirs is the deeply personal project of Kenjiro Kagami, a former engineer who moved from Japan to France in 2001 and trained with growers in Burgundy, Cornas, and Alsace before settling in Jura in 2010. Working a small parcel near Grusse, he farms roughly three to four hectares of Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, and Trousseau with organic methods and a focus on biodiversity. Production stays tiny, often around ten thousand bottles, with extremely low yields. In the cellar, fermentations proceed with native yeasts and little intervention, aging stretches across several years in old barrels before release. The results feel patient, transparent, and tightly linked to Jura’s limestone slopes.
